Lauren Kelly

Lauren is in her junior year at Boston University, working towards a dual degree in music (CFA) and speech, language and hearing sciences. After graduating she looks to study and practice melodic intonation therapy to aid those who have suffered a left hemisphere stroke, those who stutter, and possibly some throat or laryngeal cancer patients. In addition to working at the Wheelock Family Theatre in Boston, Lauren raised $500 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Her letter of recommendation said, “I have witnessed Lauren stand strong in the face of her life-threatening disease…Lauren is very talented and is motivated…Her academic performance is excellent.” This is Lauren’s third Susan Fund scholarship.
