Despite the many challenges Jose is facing as he fights his recurring cancer, he is determined to complete his degree at WestConn. He wrote, “I do plan on returning to school once I am able to get around on my own and feel capable of taking on an academic course load.” Jose remains interested in obtaining a degree in Finance but is uncertain in which direction his education will take him. His letter of recommendation stated, “Jose is a bright young man with intellectual curiosity, integrity and a maturity beyond his years.” This is Jose’s third Susan Fund scholarship.
