Jack Ungar
Jack will be a senior at the University of Richmond this fall majoring in Psychology. His long-held goal is to be a professional firefighter in a major urban area. Over the last year he has volunteered with three organizations: the Noroton Fire Department, Darien EMS Post 53, and the Christina Fire Company in Delaware. On Jack‘s application, he wrote, “I am very grateful to be a member of these organizations, and do not know what I’d do without them.” This summer he also worked at the Darien Parks & Recreation Department. Jack’s letter of recommendation concludes by saying he is, “a remarkable boy who has become an impressive young man”. This is Jack’s fourth Susan Fund scholarship.
