Madeline O'Farrell

Maddie is enrolled in Quinnipiac's accelerated occupational therapy program, where she is working toward her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, with a minor in nutrition. She hopes to become an occupational therapist, working with children. Her experience with cancer helped shape Maddie's career goals by showing her the impact healthcare professionals can have on patients and families during trying times. Outside the classroom, Maddie is involved with Best Buddies and the Student Occupational Therapy Association. Her professor describes Maddie as "professionally motivated and ethically grounded," with strong communication skills and a commitment to helping others. This is her third Susan Fund award.
