Declan is a senior in the Biology program at Sacred Heart University. Upon graduation he will enter their dual degree PA program. He worked 1,000+ clinical hours in the Emergency Department at Norwalk Hospital to fulfill required hours for PA school applications. Declan would like to pursue more hands-on patient care roles, possibly as a patient care technician. He maintains a 4.0 GPA and plans to apply to a Sacred Heart University-affiliated PA program. Declan's letter of recommendation states, "his ability to achieve excellence in a science major while working and volunteering demonstrates that he will continue to succeed as he completes his undergraduate career and moves on to graduate school." This is his fourth Susan Fund scholarship.
