James is a senior at the University of Dayton and plans to pursue a career in software sales, with an interest in data and artificial intelligence. He has joined sales clubs and participated in competitions to gain experience and prepare for his career. James says his cancer taught him to work hard, pursue his goals, and make the most of opportunities. James also served as Vice President of Service for his professional business fraternity, helping the chapter complete more than 60 hours of community service and raise more than $1,000 for A Special Wish Foundation. His recommendation letter describes him as "an exemplary student" and a "strong, quiet leader," praising him as driven, responsible, and genuinely kind. This is James's fourth Susan Fund award.
