Keylin is a junior majoring in Human Development and Family Sciences at UCONN Stamford. She hopes to eventually earn her Master’s degree in social work. She ultimately wants to work in a clinic where she can help children and teenagers. This past summer Keylin worked at the Children’s Community Development Center in Westport for her practicum in early childhood towards course credits. She also enjoyed visiting her grandparents in Guatemala for a few weeks. This is Keylin’s third Susan Fund scholarship. Keylin’s letter of recommendation states “the field of social work is lucky that she plans to join us in our challenging and important work. Not only will Keylin be an empathetic and caring social worker, but she also hopes to specifically work with pediatric oncology patients.”
