Nathaniel Smit
This is Nate’s second Susan Fund award and he will be a sophomore this Fall majoring in Psychology at Dean’s College. During the summer, he worked helping pediatric patients with holistic therapy in Stamford, as well as at the YMCA in Stamford. Upon graduation, Nate hopes to be in the mental health field as a social worker or therapist in a pediatric hospital “to help people get to whom they want to be and live happier lives.” Nate’s letter of recommendation states “he is an engaging, kind and caring person to interact with and is an inquisitive and dedicated student.”
