Declan began his college career this Fall. As part of the 4+2 dual degree Physician Assistant program, Declan is also majoring in Biology. In his application Declan said, “My compulsion to give back, a value instilled early in my life by church and family, established itself on a high school mission trip to feed and clothe the homeless. The experience proved life changing, because it left me with joy and satisfaction.” Declan’s letter of recommendation said he “put an incredible amount of work into his studies and effectively incorporated feedback to improve on his considerable skills…Despite having a rigorous course schedule and sustaining an injury that kept him out of the lacrosse season, Declan was resilient, always possessing the same affable character and positive mental outlook.” This is Declan’s first Susan Fund scholarship.
