Tierra began her health services career as a home health aide/companion, then obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through classes at the American Red Cross and practice at the Jewish Home in Fairfield. Tierra was a CNA for over 10 years and worked at Brightview Senior Living in Norwalk, caring for patients in the memory care unit. Tierra is in her second year at the University of Bridgeport‘s School of Nursing. Her favorite areas to work in are oncology and labor and delivery. Her letter of recommendation states, ―Tierra is someone I can always count on and always willing to go above and beyond for her residents and co-workers.‖ This is Tierra‘s second Susan Fund scholarship.
