Sofia‘s goal is to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and become a practicing nurse serving pediatric oncology patients and their families. Last year she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Greenwich Pediatric Associates. The letter of recommendation from her supervisor noted, ―Sofia has an incredibly positive attitude on life….She is an optimistic, caring and confident young lady.‖ Sofia has completed all of her prerequisite courses, which enabled her to apply to NCC‘s Nursing program. She also led her Cycle for Survival team, #Likeawarrior, to fundraise in support of MSKCC research for rare cancers. This is Sofia‘s fourth Susan Fund award.
