Matt is a sophomore and a two-time Susan Fund Scholarship recipient. His career goal is driven by his experience as a cancer survivor. He wrote, ―During my time of treatment I recall that music and the various video genres were what helped me get through the isolation when my immunity was at risk.‖ Matt‘s plan is to study the music industry with the ultimate goal of being in the sound production and orchestration areas of the music industry. He would like to dedicate his life to the development of these art forms which were so important to him in his recovery. Matt has played the trumpet since he was in the fourth grade. Last year he felt honored to perform with his college‘s brass ensemble at the 911 memorial ceremony.
