Tierra Garvin
Tierra began her health services career as a home health aide/companion, then obtained her CNA license through classes at the American Red Cross and practice at the Jewish Home in Fairfield, CT. Tierra has been a CNA for over 10 years and works at Brightview Senior Living in Norwalk. She is a Senior Resident Assistant and has learned a lot from nurses in the assisted living facility. Tierra is in her first year at The University of Bridgeport in The School of Nursing. She plans on attaining her BSN. Her favorite areas to work in are in oncology and labor and delivery. Ultimately, she would like to become an RN, working in pediatrics. This is Tierra’s first Susan Fund scholarship.
