Matthew Viglucci
Matthew will be a freshman this fall at SUNY Oneonta. He will study the music industry and ultimately would like to be involved in sound production and orchestration areas of the music business. Matthew would like to play music in a band at college. He has played the trumpet since he was in the fourth grade. Matthew loves jazz and soundtrack music. He can envision himself being involved in the production of soundtracks for video games and film. He recalls these games getting him through feelings of isolation during his cancer treatments.
His high school counselor describes Matthew as “an incredibly kind, hard-working and talented student.” This is Matthew’s first year as a Susan Fund recipient.
