Lauren Busser
Lauren is enrolled in the Integrated Design Media program and will graduate this spring with her Master’s degree. She reflected, “My goal is to work in a user experience role, focusing on content design which will tie in with my writing experience.” Lauren was awarded recognition for one of her short stories by the Connecticut Press Club. Lauren’s enthusiasm for her studies and the opportunities available to her was evident throughout her interview with the Board. She described one project that focused on improving comic book accessibility for blind and low vision readers. Another exposed Lauren to wearable electronics. This is Lauren’s sixth Susan Fund scholarship. She plans to pursue a PhD in Educational Technology and will remain part of The Susan Fund throughout her education.
