Jack Ungar
Jack is a sophomore at The University of Richmond in The School of Arts and Sciences. He continues to volunteer at the Noroton Fire Department, fueling his passion for firefighting and helping others. As a child growing up in New York City, Jack’s mom would bring him for visits to local firehouses, where he began his lifelong dream to become a firefighter. In 2021, Jack completed his EMT certification, furthering his ongoing desire to help alleviate people’s pain and suffering. Jack’s Assistant Chief at the Fire Department states, “If character, focus, discipline, and diligence are material measures taken of candidates under your consideration, Jack is sure to impress.” This is Jack’s second Susan Fund Scholarship.
