Charlie Capalbo
Charlie is currently undergoing cancer treatment for a third time at Boston Children’s Hospital. As of this newsletter printing, he has been in the hospital since January 2021. Charlie made the Dean’s list at Fairfield University in the Fall of 2020 before he was diagnosed again. Charlie is majoring in Business with a minor in Psychology. He is an avid hockey fan and dedicated goalie. He looks forward to getting back on the ice someday soon.
Before he was hospitalized in January, Charlie was a COVID testing administrator and a clinical assistant at a physical therapy clinic. Charlie continues to have a fighting spirit during his treatment. As one of his doctors said, “Let’s control what we can today and continue to have faith in tomorrow.” This is Charlie’s fourth Susan Fund scholarship.
