Tierra Garvin

STRATFORD, CT

Tierra Garvin

Tierra will begin her senior year in the fall and expects to graduate as a RN in April 2024. She began her health services career as a home health aide/companion, then obtained her CNA license through classes at the American Red Cross and practice at the Jewish Home in Fairfield. Tierra has been a CNA for over 10 years and currently works at Brightview Senior Living in Norwalk, caring for patients overnight in the memory care unit. She is considering becoming a nurse anesthetist in the future. Her letter of recommendation states, “Tierra communicates well with her peers, Director Team and me. She follows directions extremely well and
understands the needs of our senior population…I sleep well at night when she is working… She is dedicated in providing excellent service to our residents. I believe whatever endeavor she chooses to pursue in her career, she will excel.” This is Tierra’s fourth Susan Fund scholarship.
